Float Plan - 13 August - St Abbs, West towards Cove

If I do not report in by 16:00 on 13 August 2010 call the Coastguard on 999.


Please report me as overdue/missing and provide them with the following information.

I intend paddling West from St Abbs Harbour around St Abbs Head and towards Cove.  I will return at Cove or after 2 hours paddling, whichever comes first.  I anticipate launching at 11:00.  If I am late launching the 2 hour turnaround maybe shortened to ensure that I return by 16:00.
 
It is my intention to send Blog updates or texts to Jane Larsen (07977 480160) at arrival at end of journey or at any variation/deviation to the above plan. However, I do not know what Mobile/3G reception I will have in the area.

Whilst the primary destination is Dun Chonnuil, if the conditions do not permit a crossing from Luing to the Grey Dogs then I will work my way north along west side of Luing (perhaps camping on Luing instead). I will then island hop to Dun Chonnuill. If conditions dictate an alternative camp will be setup on these islands.
